Leslie Green Director, Writer and Producer
Ms. Leslie Green lives in Brooklyn, New York. She is the mother of three. Currently she divides her time being a full time mom and a contractual Occupational Therapy Assistant. When she is not cultivating Saeed, her youngest son, or providing treatment to clients with multiple difficulties, she attends the Upper Room Full Gospel Baptist Church with Bishop William Bennett, Jr., Overseer.
Ms. Green has always enjoyed coordinationg various events and has a very vivid and creative personality. While in college, one of her professors noticed her creative skills and encouraged her to pursue them. At that time, raising her two older children, she felt her role as mom and a stable job was most important. As the two older children grew up, she continued to involve herself in programming and coordinating for different events throughout the community. Currently, she is Director of a Christian Performing Arts Company with 20 plus members.
Ms. Green was given the opportunity to present her first Gospel play "Father, Where Art Thou?" at Von King Cultural Center , 670 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn March 2004 and has been performing it throughout Tri-state. "Father, Where Art Thou?' was nominated for farvorite Gospel play at the Tiffany Gospel Awards in December 2005. Ms. Green has written and performed her 2nd play "Somebody's Gotta Break the Family Curse" and it was performed December 9, 2006. It was also well received. Make sure you go see them. They will inspire you and encourage your soul. Currently, Ms. Green is working on her 3rd production "Father, Where Thou?" Pt 2. The vision God gave her is to reach as many people as possible. She always encourages people, of all ages to praise the Lord and be grateful. Ms. Green feels that she is on a mission from God and strongly believes that through Christ all things are possible. The company's mission is to emphasize self-worth, family values, unity, forgiveness, building up the kingdom of God as well as the body of Christ.
The Story Behind This Site
The Potpourri of Color Performing Arts Limited Liabilty Company is an outlet for individuals that are willing to expose any God given talents they may have such as: Poetry, Dancing, Singing, Writing Acting and/or any Musical abilities. It will afford them the opportunity to be an inspiration to others and build self-esteem as well as gaining exposure and experience in this field. They will get a chance to enhance their knowledge of live off Broadway performances and see first hand how they are written, produced and performed. .
Our Mission
Potpourri of Color seeks to shed light on a combination of multi-dimensional issues that give a message through dramatic play. Our mission is to emphasize self-worth, family values, unity, forgiveness, building up the body of Christ and the kingdom of God. We as a team have an ernest desire to impact the lives of people who struggle with similar issues display in the plays.
